since the passing of T a month ago, I've have more had double-coin days...
for instance...
4/3-2 pennies walking to the metra w/ Deno
4/4-2 dimes at different locations
4/7-2 pennies at different locations on the way into work w/ Jeff/Edith , a quarter at the PMC
4/8-2 pennies at different locations
4/9-2 pennies on the way into work
4/10-a dime on the way to the train
4/11-2 pennies at different times...one w/ Jeff on the way into work, one on LaSalle on the way to mass

0.65 in a week-ish... they are among us

They keep coming...

I may have stopped the anal documenting of each and every coin for the last few months, but they do keep coming...

- on vatation in Mo/So. IL...one penny each day
- in the Loop
- in Peter's
- after a funeral
- just about everywhere I go

here and there

a dime on 10.04 in the parking garage at the hospital, a penny here and there, another dime on 10.11 in front of Sams...parked my bike next to it...odd, not where I usually park the bike.
then a $ in the back of St. Peter's on Friday--did not pick it up, figured it was someones who just dropped it, but that did not seem to be the case...had I picked it up, I'd put it into the collect.... but I count it...thanks!

last few weeks

well, not keeping exact tabs on the coins for a while...but there have been:
dime on the MP platform
dime on the Chi-platform
pennies everywhere
quarter in Radio Shack
nickel in Church/St. Pete's
penny in Church//St. Pete's exit
and more and more...thanks!

last week of the summer summary

tues...found 2 nickels at the Metra ticket counter getting my monthly ticket on the way home
wed...after Weiss-Up Wed, walking to the train, found a penny in the McD's doorway, then a dime on the river walk
thurs...on the way to work spotted a penny? in the wide expansion deck joint in at Franklin/Wacker...left it and got it out of the dirt on the way home thta night

penny on Tues/21st, on the way to mass, on LaSalle near the Thompson center corner-ish/Lake
quarter on Thurs/23rd, in the rain, walking through 222 N, right in the Obama revolving door
penny today/Friday after mass around the corner under the scaffolding, in a sidewalk crack on LaSalle

plus another penny and nickel today...

found a penny in LaSalle crosswalk to the train, then a nickel in the street near the bikes on my ride home...thanks for the big day.

well, as I rode my bike to the train on a sad Monday morning, thinking of those that past with w/e and those who may soon...then ready to think of Christine...I spot the shiny quarter and hit the brakes, backup and pick it up...thanks.

Wed & Thurs pennies

Wednesday--found one after mass on my way into the Work's for lunch...right between the set of doors.

Thurs...after lunch walking down to the hide-away corner basement taco stand--spotted the very shinny penny on the floor of the Thompson Center...

walking from Bergie to the train after Weiss-Up w/ Scott, I walk right to a penny facing me in the middle of the sidewalk on Monroe....right at 6:11--which is a significant time this week.

again, I'm riding to the train and I spot the penny in the roadway and I ride past and then back-up to retrieve it! thanks!

then, just 3 hours later, as I waited in line at the P.O. to mail a card to Liz and Charlie--as the 1 yr anniversary of Lydia's passing approaches, I look down and there is the penny...thanks for the sign.

okay, then the 3rd one came...as I was getting ready to get on the bike at the train station tonight and ride over to Church to buy some masses for Liz, I spot the penny in the street next to my tire.

--recall when I thought two in one day was unique--? not any more...it's been raining pennies!
