GC vacation Exec Summ, 3.18-3.24/25

3.18, arrival at GC airport, ready to clear customs, C notes we are missing 1 bag, so I return to get the bag and as I head back to the customs, I find a penny, a penny a dime and a penny...pennies for M/C/L & the dime for Christine...thank you.

That same evening...day one, we went to our favorite restaurant for our first dinner on the island--a place we'd been to 2 or 3 times w/ Christine. I knew what I was going to order (after not being there for 3 years--it was still on the menu). C asked about a pasta dish and ordered hers...I (nor she) noticed the name of the dish as she ordered. As I was signing the bill, I said 'did you notice your pasta dish had the name Heaven in it...?'...she had not and of course neither did I...I neglected to really make a connection--until I woke up the next morning (it clicked as I just woke up in bed--and boy did it make me smile)...I got up and looked at the menu listings in the many magazines we had, and it showed she ordered Heavenly Penne...that is what is shown on the menu, what is listed in the mags etc...but the bill said 'Penne from Heaven'...as I signed the bill--I only focused on the word Heaven----as I said, I finally realized the next a.m. this it's the closest thing to 'Penny from Heaven' that we will ever see in writing...boy did I get the chills...why does the bill differ from all other publications of this menu item--when other items don't? She was there that night...for sure!

3.19, at the Blackbeard store, talking about the 13cents, at/under the check-out counter, I find a Cayman penny...

3.19, as we prepare to walk south along the beach to see the empty lot where we stayed 3-years ago w/ Christine (Hurrican Ivan took it down)...we begin walking, I stop to check something(?) and look down on the sand to find 2 pennies and a quarter...

3.20, no penny, but she was there smiling in the moon and playing the Moon-Dance song...also the soang about water s we drank salt water at this place for dinner last time.

3.21, standing in the sand, ready to walk to C/L in the water...two shinny dimes propped up in the sand by the wind.

3.24, just arrived at GC airport, went to check the bags the porter left up at the head of the long line. I walk toward them, see the back side of a medal that says 'Pray for Us'--I walk past it to see the bags and come back to pick it up...it's a St. Christopher medal...

3.25, today-day after vacation, talking to the neighbor about the week, I spot a penny in the crack/joint of his driveway/sidewalk.

All these coins were in plain sight...not in the 'margins' as many of them are that I find...so many people must have walked right over and past them...so that I could 'receive' them.

Grand total in GC, 13+1+27+20=61 cents and a Pray for Us medal...plus the penny today...what a great gift she has given me. Thank you Christine!
